• I was delighted with the whole order, delivery and end product. The lemon drizzle cake was ordered for my son’s birthday and delivered to him at university. He loved it!

• I was told that it was a lovely cake, deep sponge with a very lemony taste. Still fresh after a few day.

• I personally did not have any of this particular cake as it was a gift for my mum but I've had lemon drizzle from Sponge in a previous mixed flavours cake and it was heavenly.

• The cake was moist, light and utterly delicious. The butter cream in the middle was a great idea and really made it special. Just divine.

• We thought the sponge and buttercream were excellent! But it was spoiled by the large amount of caster sugar on the top. The cake would be perfect if there was just white chocolate drizzle on and no added caster sugar.

• We found the lemon cake was a bit bland and dry compared to what we normally expect of a lemon cake. Needs more lemon sharpness in both the cake and filling. A more moist cake too would be preferred. Definitely not our favourite choice so far.

• Substantial sponge, high, light, good flavouring, just the right sweetness. Will be buying this again.

• Best cakes ever - brilliant for any occasion the melon drizzle cake was absolutely gorgeous and very tasty. Wished we had ordered a bigger cake! Have now had the red velvet, Victoria sponge and lemons drizzle cakes - we don’t know which flavour to order next!

• It was my dad's 90th birthday so wanted something he could enjoy.......not too rich, not too much icing, not too big. He and my mum seemed very happy with what they received. It had all gone in a few days!

• Nice touch with a bit of white choc to contrast with the lemon flavour. Buttercream centre was yummy! Obviously very fresh, light and fluffy.

• I ordered the Lemon Drizzle cake for my son's birthday. The cakes are gorgeous quality and between the three adult males in the house, they polished off 16 pieces in 6 days! Sadly I can't eat wheat, oats, grains, no gluten free or modified starches so I don't get to enjoy the cake but as long as the boys love it, I shall continue to buy them their birthday cakes from Sponge! X

• Very well received by friend to celebrate a big birthday

• The cake is delicious and generously filled. It is very zesty and refreshing. It also lasted a good few days kept in an airtight container.

• I bought this cake for my parents who are isolating as they have just returned from Greece. They loved the surprise and found the cake delicious. They froze half of the cake but it didn't stay in the freezer for very long! Tasted just as nice as when eaten from fresh

• You said you had improved this to taste more of lemon,sadly i disagree. Great sponge and buttercream,but if i close my eyes i would say it was a victoria sandwich. No lemon taste at all? Drizzle was just crystalised sugar,same again,no lemon taste.

• A moist sponge cake with a tasty lemon zing. The cream filling is not too thick and not too sweet, and has a lovely light vanilla taste to it. There is a slight crispiness to the to ping that makes it even more delightful. Perfect! 10/10.

• I sent this to a friend who has just come home after had an operation instead of flowers. She was delighted with it, she tells me it is delicious - light and moist, perfect to share with friends visiting her. The lemon drizzle was sweet but tangy not too rich.
