• Everyone loved it.

• A really nice cake that fed more than 8 people due to it's generous size. I would have liked a bit more lemon drizzle on the top but that is just a personal preference.

• Absolutely brilliant. Easy ordering and delivery so quick. My husband loved it. Gave out some pieces and everyone said how nice it was and how great it tasted

• A lovely soft sponge which was full of flavour. I particularly liked the deep cream filling.

• Ordered this cake as a "pick-me-up" for my Aunt K, who had recently undergone some major surgery. It arrived early, she loved the Lemon-Drizzle cake and had to tell her family to keep their fingers to themselves as she was keeping the remaining slice for herself. Everybody enjoyed the cake and wanted more. Quality product; that is why I have been a customer of SPONGE since 2011. Highly recommended!!!

• Not high enough lemon flavour. Not as expected after reading the description on the website.

• The lemon drizzle cake was absolutely delicious, soft light sponge and zesty buttercream. Would love to try some of the other flavours on offer ?

• It was a very good size, great flavour, lovely texture and still fresh 3 days after cutting into it.

• Cake was very lemony/zesty (but still sweet due to middle layer of butter cream) and lovely and moist. Suggested 8 portions but this is very generous and you could probably get 10 slices out of it as the cake is very deep. Will definitely order again…. If only there weren’t so many other delicious flavours to try!

• My daughter is an excellent baker and has produced some gorgeous cakes (I'm hopeless?but love to eat cake?)she recommended them as said couldn't bake better or cheaper . They freeze brilliantly without being detrimental to the taste . Absolutely brilliant ?

• Good sized cake, fed more than eight. Arrived as per the requested date. The lemon buttercream was delicious. It kept well in the tin for four days (then we finished it!) Would buy again.

• The cake had quite a simple design. It looked just like the pictures on the website. It tasted amazing and everyone really enjoyed it. The sponge was fluffy and the lemon icing wasn't too tart or sweet. They got the balance of flavours just right.

• We really liked the Lemon Drizzle. It could be a bit more lemony for me but saying that, we all loved it and we ate it all and I would buy it again. You can taste the lemon but it is not over strong and I do have a preference for lemon things to be really really lemon so it is probably a personal taste issue, not an issue with the cake.

• My parents said the cake had a delicious lemon flavour & not to sweet. My dad isn't a huge cake eater but loved this cake.

• Ordered this cake online from Aus to be delivered to my girlfriend in the UK and it was so easy to order, it arrived on time and was moist, delicious and bigger than expected. Super impressed, will definitely use this business again!
