• Good taste but could have a stronger coffee taste. As the coffee can only be tasted in the buttercream

• Unfortunately we didn’t get to sample the cake but from what we hear it arrived in perfect condition and was delicious.

• I ordered the coffee for 8 and it was too sweet for my liking, the butter cream in particular was very sugary. So if you're not into really sweet desserts, this won't be for you. Every review I've read on the website has been really positive, especially about how moist the sponge is so I was quite disappointed because the sponge was quite dry. It could be because the cellophane which is supposed to keep the cake fresh and moist for up to 7 days wasn't completely sealed when I received it.

• This was our first Sponge order, and we were really impressed. I wanted a yummy cake for my Mum's birthday, and her favourite is Coffee cake. The cake arrived 2 days ahead of her birthday, but the cake still tasted really fresh on the day. There was a strong coffee taste and the best coffee buttercream I have tasted in a long time.

• Always had good cakes ,nice to look at ,lovely tasting ,very happy and never buy anywhere else as very good standards ,never been let down by this company ,I put the wrong delivery date down and it was sorted straight away ,good communication

• This coffee cake is phenomenal!! The sponge is perfect density with just the right hint of coffee, the coffee buttercream filling is sensational and the chocolate coffee beans on the top just made the whole cake that bit sweeter! Cannot recommend this cake enough!

• Beautiful moist coffee sponge, a stronger coffee flavoured butter icing, all complimented with coffee chocolate beans on top. A delicious combination of coffee flavours that left me wanting more.

• Ordered a cake for delivery to my mum for her Birthday. Communication was brilliant- got updates throughout the whole process right to the delivery. Cake was reasonably priced to say it got delivered to the door within a time slot. Didn’t get to try the cake but Mum’s feedback was it was beautifully wrapped, delicious and moist and even came with napkins! She was very impressed!

• This week was my Mums birthday. As I was unable to make a cake for her I used SPONGE to send a cake. The service was excellent, even going out of their way to deliver on time, and the quality of the cake superb. I ordered a coffee cake and although at the moment offering a limited range from their norm, there is still a good selection to choose from. The cake looked so yummy and reportedly so delicious that I may even request one for my birthday or plan in a trip to their cafe. So if you need to send a cake anywhere in the UK during lockdown, or thereafter I’d highly recommend this company.

• Definitely coffee, full of flavour and lovely Creamy filling. The chocolate coffee beans on the top an added bonus. Moist and very more... Ish!!

• We really enjoyed the coffee sponge. The sponge was light and the cream not at all sickly. So much so that I've subsequently ordered a vegan sponge for my son-in-law's birthday.

• The cakes are delicious and of a very high quality. Sometimes the special edition type cakes can seem a bit artificial looking. More veg inspired cake i.e. Carrot or courgette etc would be a welcome addition.
