• A gift for grandson, haven’t had a report from him but he was excited when it arrived

• Coffee cake purchased for my husbands 40th birthday as a surprise. Cake arrived in time and was very well packaged. On opening it looked fantastic and it tasted even better! Everyone who tasted it has commented how delicious it was. Thank you Sponge!

• The coffee cake was just as described and quite delicious. The serving size was pleasantly generous and comments likening it to home made were in abundance. I will certainly order from your bakery again.

• I liked the texture of the sponge it's quite dense but when you bite into it it's so surprisingly light ,I liked the chocolate beans on top that makes a change from walnuts .

• On this occasion the coffee sponge was gifted to my Mother as she had been released from hospital as I am in the extremely vulnerable group and still shielding I could not visit. This was for Mum to share with my sisters when they visited her. It was enjoyed by all.

• It could have tasted better if there was also frosting around the cake and not just layered. It would have looked more like a real cake. The cakebox was also torn upon receipt. And the package was delivered upside down.

• I've only ever sent your sponges to other people before, but this one I actually got to see for myself and eat (well share)! Previously when I have read "serves 8" I have anticipated relatively small slices, now I know different! The taste had just the right balance of flavour, the texture remained fresh for days - we absolutely loved it!

They said it was delicious the sponge was nice & moist and they absolutely loved it. I ordered the extra candles and topper too so they could set it up for themselves Very happy with the outcome of it all & I would definitely recommend.

• Moist sponge, deep and generous size cake, really good taste of coffee in the buttercream, gentler taste of coffee in the cake itself. Loved the chocolate 'coffee beans' on the top. Bought this one for my husband, who loves coffee cake and he gave it top marks.

• I ordered this cake because it’s my friend’s favourite cake flavour. I’d never tried coffee cake before but I am now a big fan! It wasn’t overly sweet or dry at all. I loved it and would definitely order it again.

• Lovely cake but when I think coffee cake I also think walnut. Could be an idea to select if you want to add some nuts!

• Absolutely delicious cake and excellent communications right from the order to delivery. The cake kept really well for around five days, and only lasted that long because we were away for a couple of days in the middle! Highly recommended.
