• I ordered this cake because it’s my friend’s favourite cake flavour. I’d never tried coffee cake before but I am now a big fan! It wasn’t overly sweet or dry at all. I loved it and would definitely order it again.

• Bid enough to share for 16 portions. Nice coffee taste without being overpowering.

• Lovely cake but when I think coffee cake I also think walnut. Could be an idea to select if you want to add some nuts!

• Absolutely delicious cake and excellent communications right from the order to delivery. The cake kept really well for around five days, and only lasted that long because we were away for a couple of days in the middle! Highly recommended.

• The coffee sponge cake was absolutely delicious. It was creamy and full of flavour, everyone in the house loved it. The decorative chocolate coffee beans on top were a lovely little touch too

• Moist and just the right amount of coffee flavour, not overpowering at all.

• Disappointed. We felt that that it was too rich and lacked in flavour. Stored as advised and two days later the sponge was somewhat dry.

• A delicious coffee flavour, with a soft and smooth buttercream. The sponge was moist and a very good height. Perfect for a good slice. The addition of chocolate coffee beans on the top was perfect.

• Arrived on time and had a lovely homemade look and taste. There was plenty for 10 of us to share which is great value for money. Would definitely use again

• Have sent 2 of these cakes now and both recipients loved them - beautifully presented, excellent taste and really high quality cake. Also really like the fact that there are instructions for freezing the cake!

• Nice cake, good advice re warming to room temperature and looked nice too. Would be good to have more options to personalise. And quality of chocolate coffee beans on cake was not great.

• I was told by who I sent it to, that the whole thing was presented so well. Boxed with care so as not to be damaged. Cake finished to perfection. The cake was for 8 people and each slice was a good size so no scrimping. My brother-in law who’s Cake it was for his 80th birthday loves coffee cake and his comment was it was one of the best he had eaten.

• I ordered the coffee cake for 8 for my partners special birthday. It arrived on time and was packaged really well to protect the cake. The cake looked great and tasted even better. It was not Overly sweet and the Sponge was light with a lovely coffee cream filling and topping. I would definitely order again.....maybe the larger one next time!

• I do not buy chocolate cake and have it delivered, this was the first time in my life. I decided to fulfill one of my smaller dreams and it was good that I did that. Soft sponge, and very good tasting chocolate cream in the middle.

• An absolutely gorgeous coffee sponge! Soft , light and a really good coffee flavour to both sponge and buttercream. It was devoured in no time. I’ve made sponge cakes for over 40 years myself and tend to be rather critical , but this was just as good as mine.

• Definitely order again-this is the second cake ordered from Sponge. And haven't been disappointed with either product.

• Just like coffee cake from my childhood. The butter cream with coffee flavour was perfect and nothing was over sweet or too strong with coffee.
