• My brother is a cake/dessert monster BUT he is picky! He absolutely loved the Chocolate Sponge and it is a big enough cake to have a slice every day for a week and still as good as day 1!

• Excellent, looks and smells delicious: moist sponge, very chocolately, but also light & not stodgy>

• The cake was gluten free coffee cake. Not chocolate cake. It arrived on its side, the box was intact this time, but the cake damaged. (I have taken photo for your quality control) It was greasy on top, it had a pool of grease on one side, the sponge tasted unpleasantly of margarine. There was hardly any icing in the centre, as there had been in previous cakes. It did not taste distinctly of coffee, or butter. It was improved by the addition of my own coffee butter icing, but still a disappointing cake. Definitely not the treat I was hoping for.

• Birthday cakes sent to my son at uni, always on time, well presented and very well received

• Delicious . Had several now and will definitely order more in future

• Couldn't be happier from the simplicity of ordering to the joy of opening the box when it arrives. Eating it is just the icing on the cake. So to speak.

• This was delicious and the first to run out. If you could do a bigger one then that would’ve been all gone too!

• Dry and old as well as tasteless. Icing was flavourless, also dry like it was old. No ribbon with message on.

• Was a 70th Burthday gift for a friend with a large family.

• I will continue to buy from sponge cake. Great quality cake at reasonable price. I can't fault the packaging and delivery is always prompt.

• Looked and tasted lovely. Kept in an air-tight box, the remainder was still good and eaten after 4 days.

• Very moist sponge and delicious thick buttercream filling. A perfect treat for my 10 year old’s birthday - she felt very grown up getting a SPONGE a delivered just for her ! Yes it’s expensive for an 8 slice cake, but it is worth it for a special occasion.

• I have never eaten a chocolate cake before as good as this one. They've usually been too rich, too sweet, too sickly, too dry etc etc, but this one ticked all the boxes and was just perfect. The ratio of icing to cake was spot on.
