• Lovely cake great tasting and nice. It was very slightly on the dryer side as in could of been moister but still a good cake and very fast delivery. Would order again.

• Perhaps the larger size is not as moreish as the smaller size, for some reason there is a slight difference, as we had the smaller one the week before, wiped out pretty quickly so brought the larger size and my family don't seem to be demolishing it.

• This cake exceeded my expectations! I was looking for victoria sponge cake in birthday cake size which I could customise later. It smelled amazing, were soft and fresh. I served the cake one day after it arrived and it was incredible. I will never buy any cake from the supermarket again. Every person who had a slice asked where did I buy it. Definitely recommend it. Thank you!

• Absolutely delicious and a real treat. The cake is firm enough that it’s very easy to cut into 8 equal pieces without it crumbling. Just the right amount of cream and jam and the sponge is dense but not heavy.

• The most amazing cake EVER. Always been a huge fan of these cakes. Totally amazes me how you can receive a full sponge cake in the post and it arrives in perfect condition! Really doesn’t matter which flavour you choose, you will not be disappointed. The hardest decision is choosing which lovely sponge to try first

• The cake was fresh and tasted delicious. It was well-packaged and looked wonderful. I've always loved sponge cake, and this is the best one I've ever tasted. The quality was superb with a generous filling of jam and cream. It was moist but didn't fall apart when I cut into it, and it lasted a while too. I will certainly be ordering more cakes from Sponge in the future.

• A Victoria sponge is a plain cake so I realise it is difficult to go above and beyond, and there was nothing bad about it but in my view the sponge was a bit heavy, not as enjoyable as I would have hoped for a £15+ cake and I feel we could have got a better sponge from a supermarket which is a shame as I wanted to support a local business.

• The sponge is utter perfection and I love the thickness of the buttercream and jam. Nothing as joyous as seeing the buttercream layer! The cake has a long life and remains fresh. I literally cannot fault anything!
