• My family loved the cake it was my aunties favourite and she wasn't disappointed

• The cake was lovely and rich, you could really taste the depth of flavours. The cream cheese icing provided a nice tang of flavour.

• Colour is very appealing the cake had a good standard of topping but not to much to take away the overall appearance of the cake the icing in the middle is of a standard evenly spread and not to sweet the sponge is light and moist and cuts easy the cake when sliced holds together perfectly as a slice and the colour is consistent throughout

• The red velvet cake was lovely presented and moist. It was not too sweet like shop bought cakes . I loved the thickness of the cake and the buttercream. The cake did not taste eggy like shop bought cakes , but tasted like a home made cake which I like. The entire family loved it.

Thanks to the pandemic, the Graduation had to be postponed but I wanted to mark the day in as many ways as I could to celebrate her hard work & success. The cake was a big & delicious part of the celebration!!! She was elated when she opened the box & saw it...I made sure I told her she had to share it! :) We all thoroughly enjoyed it...it was yummy. It was difficult to choose (there are so many lovely varieties to choose from...which is an excellent ‘fault’) but easy to order & communication from ordering to delivery was seamless. I shall be recommending Sponge to my friends & family and will definitely purchase from you again in the future - probably multiple times (please don’t judge me...I love cake!). Thank you so much!

• The colour was darker than expected - more browny-red than red. Overall nice cake but the butter icing was a little too bland (not buttery) but that may be due to the practicality of shipping.

• The red velvet cake for my daughters 21st birthday arrived on time and in perfect condition and looked amazing. The quality of the cake was perfect but the frosting/icing was not or did not taste at all like cream cheese which is the unique quality of red velvet cake which my daughter loves and who noticed straight away as it is her favourite. It simply tasted of beautifully of made vanilla butter icing so lost it’s unique taste attraction which is disappointing

• So I didn't want to order a birthday cake from a local supermarket but during lockdown, getting out and about is hard with two young children in toe. So I found this place with Google search and did it delivery! I ordered the cake on a specific date - the only down fall was I selected before 12o'clock and it come at 1 o'clock- not a great biggy. I ordered a 8 serving cake for a specific date, 2 candles for just over £21 which I thought was an amazing price! They even threw in some napkins, which I thought was a nice touch. The cake was amazing and the whole family loved it! 10 out of 10 from me. I will definitely consider ordering from here again and not rush to the supermarkets!

• I came to Holt a few years back and learned to make perfect sponge cakes. This cake was a special treat for our anniversary - it was so, so special. Utterly delicious, perfect texture and stayed moist for the 4 days we eked it out for - though I could have eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner And if you did low-calorie versions I'd be in Cake Club immediately.....just trying to think of a suitable excuse to order the 14 portion sharing cake - not that it would get shared!!
