Our Surprise Gluten Free Pinata Cake has four layers of delicious and rich chocolate sponge, which are sandwiched together with a velvety smooth chocolate buttercream. To create the ultimate chocolate cake the chocolate buttercream and chocolate flakes are smothered all over the outside, which also gives a lovely bit of crunch. To top it all off there is a fun surprise in the middle - colourful chocolate beans.

Allow the cake to come to room temperature before eating, the butter cream shouldn't be hard!

Once opened, store at room temperature in an air tight container.

Our gluten free cakes are made in a separate kitchen to our standard cakes, by a team who will only work in that kitchen all day and do not move between kitchens. Ingredients are stored separately and no equipment is shared between the gluten free kitchen and the kitchen where the rest of our cakes are made.

I ordered from Sponge as I wanted a proper birthday cake for my girlfriend who is Coeliac and I’m not much of a baker myself, thus them being certified Coeliac friendly made them a great choice. The cake arrive exactly when scheduled to and I was delighted to see it came with a little certificate like pamphlet further documenting that the cake was Coeliac friendly which allowed me to instantly put my girlfriends mind at ease so she could get to enjoying it! And enjoy it we did, it was delicious, not at all dry, and I honestly could not tell the difference from a regularly made cake. Overall, absolutely brilliant, will definitely be ordering more from here next time I need a tasty surprise!

I personally do not like GF cake and would never willingly eat any, but having ordered this for my Coeliac daughter, was amazed at how delicious it was. Did not have the sandy/ gritty texture associated with gf baking. Will be ordering this on repeat now.
