• Was very impressed with the Gluten free Victoria sponge cake, you wouldn’t be able to tell it was gluten free as it tasted as good as a normal cake as far as I can remember as it’s been over 5 years since I’ve had a normal Victoria sponge cake!

• Totally delighted, great taste ( even though gluten free!!) according to my daughter and well presented. No damage from delivery. Think a brilliant product and I have shared with friends who’s children have also just gone to university.

• Very disappointed with the appearance of the cake seeing it was for my daughter 's birthday, the buttercream on the top was all squashed onto the plastic wrapping and to unveil this fantastic cake to family gathered to celebrate her birthday was embarrassing to say the least, it WAS the first one I have received damaged and the cake tasted beautiful, no one realised it was gluten free. My daughter tried to hide her disappointment on the appearance of the cake, shame, but wouldn't stop me ordering again. Great tasting cakes

• A tasty cake that was enjoyed by all who tried it, presentation/decor of cake could be improved as it wasn’t as inviting in looks as other brands to purchase but overall a fantastic cake and ordering process.

• Deliciously creamy centre and coffee flavour was spot on, not too overpowering.

• I just moved from the US and I need gluten free food. I have been looking forward to ordering this cake since before I moved. My Nana used to make coffee sponge and I thought I would never get to eat one again. This gluten free coffee sponge is to die for and tasted just like my Nana's. I am so happy I have found Sponge!

• A little expensive. I bought the candles and card option, which made the cake very special and the recipient loved the presentation and taste.

• Five stars for the Gluten Free Coffee cake as it was a high quality homemade cake. We have had challenges trying to find a really lovely tasting Gluten Free cake and this really hit the mark. It also freezes really well and remains the same quality and taste. DHL delivered three days late missing the birthday the cake had been ordered for and are totally unreliable which will make me not want to order from Sponge again unless an alternative courier can be offered. Contacted the a supervisor at DHL and after the initial reply I am still waiting to hear back over a month later which sums DHL customer service up in a nutshell.

• Gluten free at its absolute best. Loved by wheat-eaters too so it’s perfect as one cake pleases all! Very generous filling too on the coffee sponge and a ‘tall’ cake, no skimping!

• The gf coffee cake was really good sized (8 portions). It looked lovely, was delicious and moist with just the right amount of buttercream filling and topping. • A good flavour and texture for a Gluten Free cake. This is the second coffee sponge I have had.

• The last cake we had was the lemon drizzle which was awesome- the GF coffee cake was little light in the topping and would benefit from a little more butter cream - if you added walnuts it would be 100% perfect!

• Yumble bumble. Substantial, not crumbly, moist not dry. Looked as coffee cake should colourwise with additional chocolate buttons a treat and adding to it attractive appearance. Thick "cream" layer and not too sugary. In fact all of cake lacked that horrible overly sweet taste others have. My partner has been Coeliac all her adult life and says it is by far the best gluten free cake she has ever tasted. Made her 65 birthday special and remembered for many days! Especially appreciated to offset the lockdown blues. Thank you Sponge.

• A really delicious gluten free lemon drizzle that was super easy to order and arrived on time on my partner’s birthday. Really made her day given we were in lockdown and couldn’t celebrate with friends

• This is the second time we have bought a gluten free cake from Sponge. Both the chocolate and the coffee sponges were absolutely delicious. Sometimes, it has to be said, that gluten free cakes are a compromise but this definitely is not the case with Sponge. Unless we had known we would not have been able to tell that the cakes were gluten free. Sometimes gluten free cakes have a powdery texture on the palette but there was no hint of this with these cakes. By far the best gf cake at an extremely reasonable price too. Have recommended you to family and friends. Well done Sponge?
