• This is the fourth cake I’ve ordered from here since September and every one has been very well received!! My children, friend and dad have all had lockdown birthdays and these were a big help! So much so, in fact, I’m in the dog house because my husband only got a supermarket cake and was not impressed with me!! I know what I’ll be ordering for his birthday next December! Thank you to sponge.co.uk for a fantastic service and delicious cake!!

• It was fresh and you could really taste the quality - just wish it was a little bit more creamier but this can be easily solved when put in the microwave for a few seconds

• I didn’t care much for the toppings but this is a cake, sans toppings, that unusually tasted better every single day. The cake got more moist and bizarrely more delicious. I’d deliberately bought a chocolate cake thinking no other child or husband will be interested and I’ll finish it all myself. No such luck and as every other Sponge cake we all fought and cheated over what some assumed to be the last piece! Kudos to the chef.

• A friend recommended this company to me and now I can see why! This is probably the best cake we've ever had! So moist and delicious! It was very easy to order and arrived perfectly on time. If you're wondering whether it's worth paying a little extra for one of these cakes, it definitely is!

• I paid £7.90 for delivery before 12pm but instead received the parcel at 6pm the same day and that too with a damaged box on one side. It was meant to be gift for my brother's birthday! Whats the point of paying so much for delivery and also gift wrap!!!

• Moist, delicious chocolate sponge with a sweet buttercream that perfectly compliments the chocolate sponge. The crunch of the Oreo biscuits is amazing!

• Nice flavour but too dry. Icing and biscuit topping went down well with the grandchildren but sponge not so good.

• Honestly, everything about this, from the ordering (ok, trying to choose was hard!!) to the delivery, to hearing a blow by blow account of mow moist and creamy this amazing cake was from my oldest nephew...even though I had to save up for weeks for this, I feel honoured that you took my money!!! It was that good.

• where's the topping and filling? I wish I had made my own, can not see the 'home made' quality or touches for this cake at all

• Soft, light, and a good taste though could have been a little more chocolate-y. Too sweet for my preference, but that's a personal thing. A lower sugar range would be fantastic if you ever want to offer one though! 16 portions did actually mean 16, which is unusual.

• Lovely sponge and filling - perfect for my daughter’s birthday. Can’t wait to try another flavour.

• Definitely light and moorish. Chocolatey without being too rich. Cookies and cream, especially sandwich filling isn't too sweet but very yummy flavour. Hard to believe its gluten free and dairy free!
