• Great choice of cakes, easy ordering process, kept me informed although DHL left at wrong house! Cake was delicious, everybody loved it. Will order again!

• I purchased this cake as a present for my partner's 44th birthday...it was (is - we've managed not to gorge ourselves...just!) absolutely delicious and I was also very pleased with the (free) card and the candles I paid for. The delivery company were a little underwhelming (DHL, I think?)...the box had a dent in it and it was left on my doorstep on it's side, despite the wording on the box CLEARLY stating 'This Way Up'. Luckily the cake wasn't damanged, so all's well that ends well! I will definitely use Sponge again.

• This is actually the 3rd cake we’ve ordered as they are just delicious!! The vegan cake was amazing it was so moist and delicious and catered to everyone’s needs - I’ve already recommended these guys!!!! Delivery was brill took advantage and ordered the cake an extra day early which meant I wasn’t worried about getting it on time. Absolutely brilliant shop well done guys we love you at SPONGE!!!

• Absolutely delicious. The 7 year old birthday girl sneakily scraped out and ate half the buttercream from the remaining cake in it’s Tupperware as she loved it so much... would definitely order again!

• It arrived on the date chosen, nicely packaged and it tasted delicious. It was a lovely surprise for my mams birthday as I could not be with her this year.

• The chocolate orange cake is dense but not dry at all. It's amazing cold or heated up, wouldn't have considered this, so that was a good suggestion on the packaging. Flavour is beautiful. Would definitely order again. I thought it wouldn't serve 8 at first but it was such a tall cake you only need small slice.

• Beautiful, perfect balance of chocolate and orange flavour. The Sponge is perfectly light and moist and the butter cream just adds to the flavour and experience.

• This was surprisingly pleasing. We chose this because my son wanted it for his birthday. I thought it’d be too over powered by the orange but the orange flavour was perfect. The marble sponges were beautifully moist and the icing, delicious!

• Cake was bigger than i was expecting. Everybody that tried it enjoyed it, sponge was fairly soft. The only negative is the buttercream was quite hard and never really softened over the 4 days the cake lasted even though it was left in an airtight container on kitchen worktop. I would recommend to family and friends.

• I'm glad I found this website as I wanted a surprise gift for my son's birthday. He loves chocolate orange so this was perfect, the sponge arrived exactly as specified in a beautiful box and on time.

• A thick looking cake with a homemade feel. Delicious tasting, soft and springy sponge and still fresh a week later. Good think layer of buttercream and easily 8 generous portions- in fact I’m sure we have cut more than 8 from it (lost count)
