• I have ordered this cake previously and can't find any difference between it and a "normal " chocolate cake so it is really suitable for everyone. My friend was amazed at the quality and lightness of the sponge. I think that she is a convert now. As always the packaging and delivery are of the highest quality and the cake is outstanding.!

• The cake was beautifully light, moist and tasted delicious. After years of making do, it's great to find a solution to our family's varied dietary requirements.

• It's so difficult to find something special to eat to give to someone with dietary problems. This was a delight to serve to my daughter and tell her that she could eat it without worrying! Unlike other free from products, it was a really special birthday treat.

• Really hard to find a dairy and gluten free birthday cake anywhere (wife is gluten intolerant and young son is dairy intolerant) so was delighted when found this chocolate cake on the Sponge website, although a little apprehensive as to what the actual taste and quality would be like. There was no need to be, as it was beautiful. You wouldn’t realise it contained no dairy or gluten. The texture and taste was perfect.

• Cake a bit drier than I'd like but it was a birthday cake for my daughter and she loved it but not my taste
