The last time we celebrated a coronation, that of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, a new dish was invented in her honour; Coronation Chicken. the dish has rightfully stood the test of time and become a much-loved classic. So, to mark the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and The Queen Consort on 6 May 2023, we’re launching a nationwide search for a brand new Sponge Cake recipe, which could be yours!
Not only does the winner receive a fantastic prize, but the winning recipe will also be produced by us and sold as a limited edition with a percentage of the profits going to the winners chosen charity.
