Cake Cards are packaged in specially designed boxes with your chosen card design on the front, a personalised message on the inside and your cake slices / treats secured inside. They are designed to be robust to keep the contents safe but also slim enough to fit through any standard letterbox.

Our Letterbox cake has been specifically designed this way to fit through a standard size letterbox, allowing us to send these unique gift cakes by post!

How does it work?

When you buy one of our Cake Card Letterbox cakes, we package it in a way to ensure that it survives the drop from the letterbox to the floor, the cake slices stay in perfect condition. Your cake is securely packaged in its bespoke cake box. Sending cakes in a card by post is a new and innovative creation, available from Sponge.

Our fruit-based cake slices stay fresh for 5 days and our non-fruit-based cake slices stay fresh for 7 days. We know most of our cake slices don’t make it to the freezer. But, if you want to save your cake slice for later, you can freeze them for up to 6 months! Just pop them in, in their packaging, and save them for later. When you’re ready for your cake slice, just pop them in a nice cosy spot. Once it reaches room temperature it’ll be ready to enjoy, and just as delicious!
