January is a time when we all consider new beginnings, and things we would like to achieve in the year to come. It may also be one of your New Year’s resolutions to try something new this year and as this month it is also Veganuary, it’s the perfect time to try some vegan treats.
This can be off putting for some; those who aren’t vegan often have a misconception that vegan food is bland and tasteless or may have a weird texture. This probably comes from the fact that it’s taken a long time for more options to be developed in the vegan category, and most people knew veganism from the days when the only options available were tofu and vegetables (pretty much).
As veganism has grown, so have the options available, as well as new technologies and ways of creating vegan food products. But there’s always room for improvement, and room to expand certain products. We have filled one of those gaps with our vegan cakes and bakes. We have to be honest, there aren’t a lot of options when it comes to vegan cakes in supermarkets, and the quality can be questionable sometimes. That’s what we found, so we decided to break the mould and create a range of vegan cakes that are affordable, good quality, and look and taste good too.
We have had great feedback on our vegan cakes and bakes, and we continue to develop and adapt our vegan range to make it the best it can be. Which is hard because it’s already great! Date and Walnut Cake - A delicious Date and Walnut Cake - contains no refined sugar as well as being vegan and gluten free! Pureed dates are mixed in to the sponge with whole and nibbed walnuts added to the mix whilst baking. The whole sponge is then sprinkled with whole walnuts and drizzled with date syrup. Made with quality ingredients - this won't disappoint!
Vegan Speculoos Brownie - Our Vegan Speculoos Brownie is full of sugar and spice and all things nice! A delicious vegan chocolate brownie - gloriously gooey in the middle with vegan chocolate chunks running throughout, topped with a generous layer of speculoos spread and then covered with a crunchy speculoos crumb. Chocolate and speculoos work perfectly together giving the vegan brownies a dark caramel flavour with hints of cinnamon and other spices. Pure bliss.
