Burns Night is celebrated across Scotland on the 25th of January, to remember the life and works of Robert Burns. People gather together at dinners, events, and parties, and have the traditional meal of haggis, neeps, and tatties.
Robert (or Rabbie) Burns, is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, but he is celebrated across the world, and he is the best know poet of those who have written in the Scottish language, but he did so in a way to make his work accessible to audiences beyond Scotland.
Burns Night was originally celebrated in July and the celebrations started in 1801, 5 years after his death, but it was moved to the 25th of January to celebrate his life on his birthday instead. And as it is now celebrated on his birthday it seems fitting that the evening ends with a delicious cake.

Whole Cakes
Rainbow Cake - Our colourful rainbow cake is made up of four layers of light and fluffy vanilla sponge with three layers of deliciously sweet vanilla buttercream sandwiched between. Vanilla buttercream also covers the entire cake and it is then coated very generously in a cloud of white chocolate flakes. The perfect rainbow birthday cake for any age, or a great cake to cheer up a loved one. Due to the number of layers, buttercream and coating it is very generous and will easily feed more than 8 people! Comes with a rainbow topper for decoration.
Speculoos Biscoff Cake - This Belgian-style biscoff cake is full of sugar and spice and all things nice! A comforting and warming sponge with a deep caramel flavour and hints of cinnamon and other spices. The sponge is held together with a thick layer of buttercream which is infused with biscoff - a caramelised biscuit spread. More of the biscoff buttercream is spread over the top and then covered with a generous biscoff crumb. This Speculoos Biscoff Cake is not one to be missed!
Victoria Sponge Cake - A Victoria sponge cake with a light fluffy vanilla sponge, raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream. Free range eggs, flour and natural vanilla flavouring creates our award-winning light and fluffy Victoria Sponge. The buttercream is made from English butter and natural vanilla flavouring which is complemented perfectly with quality raspberry jam.
Chocolate Cake - A rich and indulgent chocolate cake, generously filled with a thick layer of chocolate buttercream. Luxurious and rich chocolate, flour and free range eggs create a moist and indulgent Sponge. English butter and chocolate create the ultimate chocolate buttercream and milk chocolate flakes decorate the top. A chocaholics dream!
