Autumn is creeping up on us, soon the leaves will begin to fall and it won’t be long before the nights properly start creeping in on us. The weather will start getting a lot cooler and you’ll be wanting to spend more time snuggled up at home with a nice warm drink, so a slice of cake would be nice too!
To keep you going as the days get shorter, we’ve developed a delicious cake to keep you smiling. It will go great with a nice warm cup of tea or coffee, everything you need to keep you cosy this autumn.
We can’t think of two flavours that go together better than Chocolate and Caramel, they really are a great match together. So, naturally we thought it would be a great choice of flavour to create for our 2020 autumn special flavour.
This autumnal sponge is flavoured with chocolate and caramel creating a marbled effect. It is sandwiched together with a layer of caramel flavoured buttercream, a layer of delicious chocolate buttercream, and another scrumptious layer of caramel buttercream. On top, you will find more chocolate buttercream, a gorgeous drizzle of caramel, and a sprinkle of crushed salted butter pieces.
It is simply delicious, the chocolate and caramel pair together so well in this scrummy cake. And it looks beautiful with the caramel drizzle finish. We can’t wait to start delivering these gorgeous Chocolate & Caramel cakes straight to your door.
