The response to our Rainbow Cake Competition was amazing, we were so happy and slightly overwhelmed with the amount of entries we received. It was a struggle to keep up with them all! And every single one of them was fantastic!
You all did brilliantly with your entries, and we are happy that we were able to help with an activity to keep your children busy (if only for a little while). From delicious rainbow cakes and cookies, you baked, to very creative drawn and painted rainbow cake designs. To see all of the excellent entries you can view our Facebook album here.
It was a really difficult job deciding on just three winners, we wish we could have picked everyone to win. But, in the end a decision had to be made and here are the three entries that just edged themselves ahead to grab the prize of an Easter Pinata cake.
Rainbow Drip Cake by Evie (10)
Evie told us that she absolutely loves baking cakes, and we could tell, she made this beautiful rainbow drip cake with a rainbow topper and clouds. The mix of colours on the outside and inside, along with the beautiful decorations just blew us away!
Robin Rainbow Cake by Abigail (10)
Abigail made this creative rainbow cake for her Dad’s birthday. With lockdown on and limited access to decoration, Abigail was resourceful and found whatever she could to create a fabulous rainbow cake to make her Dad’s birthday extra special with a handmade cake.
My Rainbow Cake by Josh (6)
Josh was wonderfully creative with his entry, designing the biggest cake he could imagine! It was wonderfully bright and colourful and even included a rainbow unicorn on the bottom tier! It caught our eye, and after we announced that he had won, we were told that Josh would be sending his picture to the Nightingale hospital! We’re sure they will love it as much as we did!
And it was wonderful to see the joy on the faces of two of our winners as they sent us a picture of themselves with their prizes!
Thank you all again for entering our Rainbow Cake Competition! We are getting some great entries for our Easter Baking competition too, check out the entries in our Facebook album here.
We will be running more kids competitions so keep an eye out on our blog, as well as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
