Piñata Cake
We have been developing something very exciting! As we cannot contain our excitement, we want to give you a little teaser to what we have coming for you. A little taste of the excitement!
We bet you have heard of Piñata cakes but we are willing to say we think we have made the ultimate one for Easter this year. We are giving you a sneak peak to what we have in store, but this is just an idea so expect changes to be made to make it perfect ready for it's release!
Production of the Piñata Cake
We have gone through trial and error to ensure that we develop the perfect cake, although we think we have almost nailed it.
To create the Piñata cake effect, the process starts with taking one of our delicious sponges that is split in to four different layers, then the middle is carved out. As the buttercream is carefully spread in-between the layers of sponge, the middle is filled with goodies before it is sealed up.
Then the cake is fully iced and chocolate eggs are dotted all over the top! Keep in mind however, that this is only a prototype and therefore not the finished version. You will need to expect that the final version will not look exactly like this, but will look even better!
When you cut in to our Piñata Cake, you can expect to find sweets inside that will spill out as you pull out a slice. Make sure you capture the look on someone’s face as they discover what is in the middle!

Origin of the Piñata
Our Piñata cake is created with cardboard version in mind which is filled with toys, sweets or both! This is then broken at a ceremony of celebration, and is commonly associated with Mexico. The participant is normally blindfolded and then they have try and whack the Piñata with a stick, to get the treasures inside to fall out.
