London Marathon Sponge Moment

“I just ran the London Marathon, and as my giving page said as someone who likes 'cake, sleep, watching films and sleep' it has been an extreme challenge (sadly not seen much of my beloved cake in the last couple of months)...

Anyway I managed to run the whole thing but obviously woke up the next day in extreme pain! However my amazing sister who is an equally big cake fan sent me a sponge card through the post and it arrived this morning!

I cannot tell you the utter bliss I had eating my carrot cake with a cup of tea in bed with my aching legs up. Honestly I have rarely felt more happy!

So thank you so much... The cake was amazing, carrot is my favourite and I couldn't have imagined a better marathon recovery. Thanks Sponge!"
