Sponge Saves the Day for 75th Birthday!

Ollie sent us his Sponge Moment by email...

"I just wanted to share a Sponge moment with you. It all started on Sunday afternoon when I met my Mum and Step Dad for Sunday lunch. They were over from Portugal for a few days. The lunch was good, lots of wine and we went back to his daughters house for coffee. At which point my Step Dad asked if we had any cake? Of course we don't have cake John?! .(My Mum hadn't got him a cake for is 75th birthday three weeks previously and it was obviously still a sore point) Anyway, we left and I thought about his request. In vino veritas and all that! So I found myself googling Cake by Post and found your website. They are only here until Friday so we needed a quick delivery. It was extremely easy to organise and within a few clicks we had chosen a cake and a fun card with a personal message.

Earlier today he arrived back at the house to see a beautifully presented, apparently delicious Rocky Road sponge cake and it brought a huge smile to his face, (and got my Mum off the hook!) Thank you for a brilliant result. It means a lot.

Personally I would have had a nice cup of tea with it, but I have it on good advice that white wine is an equally acceptable accompaniment.

I will definitely be recommending your services to everyone. This picture is proudly displayed on facebook and you would be surprised at the comments regarding his smile, it is a rare sight to behold,
